Get picked: ‘American Pickers’ coming to Texas

The History Channel reality TV series “American Pickers” is returning to film in Texas this October.

Scouts for the series are looking for leads to Texas residents with antique items and a unique story to tell.

In 2010, Midwestern antique pickers Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz first set out across America in search of rare and national treasures. Over the last decade on “American Pickers,” they purchased various items from the collectors they visit for resale, private clients and their own personal collections.

In July 2021, Fritz departed from the show due to health reasons. Wolfe’s office manager Danielle Colby, younger brother Robbie, and friend and antiques expert “Jersey Jon” Szalay have since started accompanying him on road trips.

The last time “American Pickers” filmed in Texas was in 2020.

“The team has had great success with finding some unique, eye-catching items in Texas,” said producer Meredith Ball. “It seems like a lot of wonderful treasures make their way to the Lone Star State.”

Individuals who are interested in being considered to appear on the show should send their name, city, state, phone number and photos, along with a a brief description of their collection to the show’s producers by emailing americanpickers@cineflix.com.

A producer for the show emphasized in a press release that they are only interested in private collections. Stores, flea markets, malls, auction houses, museums or anything open to the public will not be considered for the upcoming Texas tour.

More information on this opportunity can be found by calling or texting American Pickers TV Show at 646-493-2184.
